Cannot view or delete space with a VERY large number of file

I inadvertently transferred, via wedbav, to alfresco a space with a very large number of files (over 12,000).

I cannot view or delete the space.  I suspect that something is timing out before the operation is complete.  I tried setting the tomcat connectionTimeout to 0 (i.e. no timeout) but this did not work.

Is there another way I can delete the space without either the web client or webdav timing out ?

I tried smb and any action results in (after a couple of minutes) …. Resource temporarily unavailable

I have to import more than 750.000 documents to a space, is there any limit in the Web Client to browse in the  list?. Should I change any parameter before?, maybe I should distribuid them trhougout diferent spaces?.
