cannot delete a site/folder created in share

After installing 4.2.c, creating a site in /share, and then trying to delete it either in /share or /alfresco, it failed. In /alfresco, it gives following error:
Unable to delete Space due to system error: 01040119 site deletion is not allowed. Attempted to delete workspace://SpacesStore/7f5f249e-b67d-43f1-b904-783b5f25fb04

If the site is created in /alfresco, it can be deleted either in /share or /alfresco.

You should not create sites in /alfresco. The Explorer UI does not have everything it needs to create a working Share site. You should only create Share sites using /share. I believe the Explorer UI has a warning to this effect when you view the Sites folder.

What is the error when you try to delete a site you created in /share from /share?

error is "Could not delete <site>" when performed from /share repository page.

I am able to "move" sites around but I cannot delete them either.
I probably created these sites with the /alfresco. And have now tried to delete  in that AND /share.

Got a work-around?

Is there a solution for this? I have a site that was created in Share (4.2c) but as the site manager I cannot delete it in Share. I just get an error pop-up that says "this site cannot be deleted." I did also try explorer, which I see now that I should not use, and it could not delete it either.

Hi:

In 4.2.f (in 4.2.c I do not remember), but if you search sites in Alfresco Share (there is a menu dedicated for searching only sites), and besides you are the site manager, you should see the "Delete option" for your sites.

I use 5.2 version. I entered as admin and as manager on this site. But when I try to delete it I see such error:
