can we integrate php and activiti

hi all,
         we had developed an application using java and spring, there we integrated activiti workflow framework, it is really working fine and we are happy with this good activiti framework.
          now there is one more application which has been implemented  using php, can activiti be integrated with this application?

You have to use the Activiti Rest web application, and connect it to the same database.
