Can't update the logo on Community 4.2.e

Hi,

I just upgraded to Alfresco Community 4.2.e and can no longer update the logo for the share through the admin console. When I try to upload a new logo file, the upload fails.  I have tried this on an install that was upgraded from 4.2.d and also on a fresh install.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Hi,

Can you check and attach here the log file for detailed exception.

Hi Deepak,

I cleared all the logs and tried uploading the logo files again.  There are no exceptions appearing in alfresco.log, awe.log, share.log, solr.log or webquickstart.log for the logo file. Which log and what am I looking for in that log to indicate a failed upload?

Hi,

Any news on this? I am having the exact same issue and can't find anything relevant in the logs. This is the message I get: "Failure: error occured during upload of new content". It seems the problem only appears when uploading a new logo as uploading documents on any site works fine.

Thanks

Try a jpg file instead of a png and see if that is the issue.

Hi there, I'm having the same issue. Is there a solution?

Thx for helping

PS: by the way choosing a JPG doesn't help, and no errors neighter.

I cannot reproduce this on Alfresco 4.2.e running on Mac OS X installed with the binary installer which installs its own ImageMagick and configures it properly in alfresco-global.properties. However, I can reproduce this with a WAR-only installer that does not have ImageMagick configured properly.

I have successfully updated the logo with both a PNG and a JPG.

Please confirm that you can upload PNG and JPG files to folders in the repository and that they not only upload successfully but they also successfully generate preview renditions and thumbnails.
