Hello,

you can only fix it by not putting secured PDFs into Alfresco or securing it with the default PDF password (as per specification, this is the empty String ""). If having the PDF secured is a requirement for you, then you will have to live with the limitation in preview functionality. The reason for this is that Alfresco - as any other PDF reader application - doesn't have access to the content unless it knows the password used in securing the PDF and thus can't transform it to Flash for the preview.

Hi There

We use the same password on all our PDFs.
Is it possible to input our default password into Alfresco somehow?

Thanks for your answer. But today, I detect a new problem. With the some file (not all files), the Collaborator can preview, but the Contributor and Consumer can not. Announce is "The preview could not be loaded from the server".

If Manager preview first, The Contributor and Consumer can preview that file again.

Hello,

it is not possible to specify your "common password" in Alfresco. The PDF conversion features only support one password without any changes to the Alfresco system: the "default password" specified in the PDF standard. If you use passwords other than that, than you are unfortunately out-of-luck unless you have someone modify the Alfresco system (and any related third-party software) for you.
