can not displace the spce name in Chinese

i create a new space , and type the name in Chinese , but the system shows that space name to be ?????? .


what should i check to correct this ?
our db (mysql) is set to be utf-8 encoding.

I created a new folder in Chinese name is okay with Oracle datebase!

we install alfresco twice,
one time is ok , the other met the problem as described.
i hope someone from alfresco can give me some advise , but always no response !

Hi,

Have you checked in your my.ini or my.cnf that the following are set:


[client]

default-character-set=utf8

[mysqld]

# The default character set that will be used when a new schema or table is
# created and no character set is defined
default-character-set=utf8


This will ensure you are using UTF-8 through the different layers of connectivity to MySQL

yes, my.ini or my.cnf are the two files we will modified after installing mysql,
and the values are those you specified.
is there any other file ( *.xml .. ) we should check ?
