Bulk import is very very slow

Hi,

I'm using Alfresco 2.1 RC with wcm (the one from nightly builds of this night -July 20th- so I have the the sample project from WCM 2.0).

I have imported the alfresco-sample-website.war. It took half an hour. During this time, machine was at 100%. I precise that this machine is dedicated to Alfresco. Machine is an athlon 3000+ so a relatively powerful machine.

Is it normal ? I mean, the war is so small -around 1M-, it does not seem to have so many things to do…so my question is: why does it take so long to import the project ?

We have experienced the same problem. Is this something that will get fixed in the final 2.1 release?

Hi,

This was an error, and has been fixed and will be in the next community release.

If you import into the staging area you should notice that the import is quick… this is what it should be like in the users work areas, and what it will be like in the next drop.

I have tried the bulk import in the Staging sandbox. I confirm that import is quick.
