Bulk export of content from WCM

Hi,

I'm trying to find out if doing a bulk export of content from a WCM project is possible.  According to http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Export_and_Import#Export_.26_Import_of_the_AVM_.28Web_Projects.29 it can't be done, but the ticket link is broken.

I tried using the REST API so I can programmatically get content out http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Repository_RESTful_API_Reference#Package:_.2Forg.2Falfresco.2Freposito..., but there doesn't seem to be any way of retrieving the content.

Has anyone got any advice on sensible ways of approacing this?
