I am new to Activiti and relatively new to BPMN and I was wondering what features are not yet, and/or will never be, supported in the Activiti Engine relative to the specification?
For example I really like concepts related to Choreographies but at a glance don't see support for them in the diagramming tool for Eclipse or any discussion of them in the user manual.
Any pointers about current engine limitations and/or future directions would be appreciated.
TIA!

Hi Bob,
Choreographies are not part of the supported BPMN constructs in Activiti, that's correct.
On a high level you can say that we support most of the BPMN constructs, except for message flows, a couple of event types.
In the user guide we describe what's currently supported in Activiti. Let us know if you have ideas of constructs we should add support for.
Best regards,

Let's say I desire to extend Activiti to support Choreographies in our software. What are the steps involved in supporting new and/or custom BPMN constructs?
And what are the reasons for non-implementation of constructs that didn't make it into Activiti so far?
