Are there any base sizing guides available, i.e.:, example hardware configurations along with the performance they provide?  Something we can use as a base to size-up?

So based on those guides, if I was given the following requirements:

- 20% (80,000) connected, at any one time
- 95% of the 80,000 connected devices will be light users. (Irregular upload/download activity)
- 5% (4,000) of the 80,000 connected devices will be heavy duty users, (regular upload/download, file & data manipulation)
- 10% (400) of the 4000 heavy duty users will be admin type users.

If I put in 22 load-balanced machines (if we imagined the same OS and specs as the use case) then I'd be covered.

Remember they're guidelines only - it sounds like you need to do some more detailed analysis and planning on a system of that size.

Why not contact sales? They can put you in touch with some Support Engineers who would have a better handle on scaling.

Thanks,
Mike
