Banal Web Client customization

Hello everyone,

I need some basic information on web client customization, since I've been asked to make very easy modding of the UI.
Basicly, I need to change some images, like Alfresco's logo, with another image, remove the "Guest Home" link and so on.

All help is welcome, even normal wiki pages (I didn't have much time to look for them).

Thanks

Could you be more specific?. wiki.alfresco.com and forums.alfresco.com are good starting points.

Let's start with the Alfresco's logo and the "Guest Home" link in the toolbar.
How do I change (the logo) or remove (the link) them? Is there a clean way to do it or I just brutally modify the jsp?

Hi,

Isn't changing the logo just a question of simply changing the images in your Alfresco install directory?

(e.g. c:\alfresco\tomcat\webapps\alfresco\images\logo)

To change the logo, just replace it with your own logo in the images\logo folder. If you want to remove the link i guess the only way is modifying the jsp page.

Thanks for the link, it has been very helpful to understand how does the jsp config works.
Anyway, I tried to add custom I18N strings, but without luck!
I tried to add webclient.properties in the extension folder -> didn't work -> tried to modify directly the main webclient.properties -> didn't work (?).
I removed the language extension previously, but sometimes I still get some "phrases" in italian language (as it is the machine language), could this be somehow related to my problem? is that a known bug?
