Hey,
this is reallllyyyyy bad, I've been attempting to get Alfresco working thro the mod_jk apache module and have wasted a couple of hours because when you start Alfresco with "/opt/alfresco/alfresco.sh start" from the tomcat configuration directory Alfresco fails to start up properly. Come on, thats terrible! Pls and developers fix this!!
thanks Andy.
PS using 2.9B
PPS Apache httpd mod_jk works great and was reasonably easy minus the above issue, + is working via SSL.

Do you have this message in your startup logs by any chance?
Mike
WARN [repo.admin.ConfigurationChecker] The Alfresco 'dir.root' property is set to a relative path './alf_data'. 'dir.root' should be overridden to point to a specific folder.
Thanks,Mike

Can you provide some more details, such as the Alfresco and Tomcat logs, the output from the alfresco.sh start command, etc. etc.?
Cheers,
Peter
