Hello ,
I installed Alfresco 4.2 b release.
I did the configuration of the Outbound and Inbound SMTP properties and the IMAP Protocols as indicated in Alfresco Documentation > Administering > Configuring email and Configuring IMAP Protocol support .
In alfresco interface , I created user having a gmail account .
This user successfully received in his Microsoft Outlook tool emails from Alfresco.
How can I configure my Alfresco server to automatically save any gmail sent for this user , into his Alfresco > Imap Home > User Repository > Inbox folder ?
I would like to have this process done without any manual user interaction ( manually drag and drop gmails into Alfresco repository OR create outlook rules that may be changed by the users ) .
Your quick feedback is Highly appreciated

The usual way of doing this is to define a rule on the email server that forwards emails to a folder with an email alias within alfresco. Security can then be tied down so messages cannot be updated.
Can you set up such rules with gmail?

Thanks a lot for your quick feedback ,
I did some research how we can build
Unfortunately , and before building the rule that will do the auto forward of the gmails to Alfresco server, i faced an issue in the inbound process. I followed the topic "Inbound storage mail " raised in the below URL https://forums.alfresco.com/en/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=19928&start=15 but didn't reach any solution even thought i follow the same configuration made in that topic .
Could you please advice how can i know if the inbound process is working successfully . IS there any document i can rely on related to Alfresco Inbound Configuration including GMAIL ? Your help is highly appreciated
