Hi,

This is exactly what the CIFS interface provides. Please see our Wiki for more information: http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/CIFS

Thanks,
Mike

Alfresco can share its repository using CIFS, FTP, NFS and other protocols. With CIFS, you can mount repository as network sharing point under Windows and place files which will be automatically added in repository.

Checks following wiki pages:

For Alfresco 2.1 we have also added ZIP file bulk import support to the web-client. Which is useful for bulk import, and also means you can use a Rule to import the contents of a ZIP file into another folder automatically when it is imported into a folder.

Thanks,

Kevin

Assuming you are running Windows and haven't altered the Alfresco configuration yet, then you need to find your computer name. Let's use the example "mgborras". From the Start menu, choose Run, then type "\\mgborras_a\alfresco" - note the additional "_a" on the end of the name.

You should be prompted for your Alfresco username and password, e.g. admin/admin and then be presented with a folder view of your spaces.

You can also map a drive to this network path if you find it easier.

Regards,
Mike

I'm running Windows XP and my computers name is TECNMGB, but when i chose Run from Start Menu and write "\\TECNMGB_a\alfresco" –> "You dont have access to \\TECNMGB_a\alfresco\. Its possible you dont have permission to use this resource of net…."

It dont prompt me for my alfresco username and pass…what i could do??? I'll have to run alfresco server too???

Possibly my fault - I had assumed you were running the Alfresco server on your computer. Replace TECNMGB with the name of the server where you have installed Alfresco.

Thanks,
Mike
