Auto Redirect To Specific Page

Hi,

I'm wondering whether it is possible in Alfresco to automatically re-direct a user to a specific page after they have performed a certain action.

What I would like to do is, when a user adds or creates a content in a space and they are taken through the wizards to create the content, well after they have clicked OK at the end of the final wizard screen, I would like the user to be automatically re-directed to the 'View Details' page of the content that has been added, rather then doing the default which is taking the user back to the space.

Any suggestions welcome.
Thanks.

Hi,

I'm assuming that you want to do this with the JSF-based web client. It is certainly possible to do but will require some customization.

Take a look at chapter 5 of Jeff Potts's Alfresco Developer Guide, http://www.packtpub.com/alfresco-developer-guide/book, it has some good examples of how to create a custom wizard.

Thanks for the suggestion, I have a copy of the book and I have been looking at that chapter.

Its not really a custom wizard that I want to create, its just that after the user has added/created a new content, I would like them to be automatically navigated to the 'View Details' screen for that content to be able to modify the content's properties, rather than taking the user back to the space after the content has been added/created.
