authority.ftl form control blank on left side

I have a custom task model that has a a field that allows the reviewer to assign a person to perform the next task.  I use the this control setting for the field

<control template="/org/alfresco/components/form/controls/authority.ftl" />‍

What happens is that when the athority selector pops up, the names are blank on the left hand side, but you can tell that there was a result brought back because there are add buttons on the rows.  When I add one of the blank rows, the name then appears on the right hand side.  So, it seems to be a display issue, but I don't know what could be causing it.  Also, one other note, if this matters or not, but share is being run through https.

Any insight or help on this topic is greatly appreciated.

Do you have custom CSS? I guess it's style's issue. You can check that easily using Chrome's Developer's Tools or a Firefox plugin like firebug
