Association/child-association: deleting node effects

I have two nodes, let me say A and B, and an association between them with direction A -> B.

Suppose it is a simple linear association. What does it happen if I delete the node A? Is it automatically deleted the association and the related node B or not? (I suppose no).

What about the same delete task is done and the association is of type child associations?

In other words, I would like to understand the difference between associations and child-associations from the point of view of deleting nodes.

Thanks a lot.

All the best.

The associations are deleted in both cases.

Deleting a child association will also cascade delete the child node (which will cascade delete any subsequent associations and so on).
