'argument' and 'extension' values in format tag in desc.xml?

Hi Folks,

I have used and write webscripts planty times but I am still not able to understand the difference between this too keywords used in "DESCRIPTOR" file under format tag

<format default="xyz">extension</format>
<format default="xyz">argument'</format>

What is the difference and significance of these two values for format tag ? What does it make difference to ALFRESCO WEBSCRIPT ?

Please guide and help.

Hello,

the web scripts wiki article defines how these are used. extension states that a file extension like suffix in the URL is used to determine the format, argument uses a URL parameter.
