Hello,

I am currently writing some automated tests for Alfresco using Mercury's Quick Test Pro product.

More information on these tests can be found here:
http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Test_Plan#Automated_testing

I will be making the test available for download from the Alfresco Forge soon. Please feel free to grab these for your own use, and any contributions would be most welcome!

Hi,

Just to let people know that there is a Forge project where you can download the Automated tests for Alfresco.

The Forge project is here: http://forge.alfresco.com/projects/qtp/

Hi Steve,

Is there any quick start documentation on how to install and launch these tests ?

Do we only need to install something on windows, give it our alfresco ip address or host, and launch it so that all tests are produced, or do we have to install some other middleware, configure it, import tests to it, then launch it ?

I saw some sections about these tests, but no quick start part.

Laurent.

Hi,

You will need Mercury's (now HP) Quick Test Pro automated testing tool to run these tests.

Once you have the tool, just unzip the files into the 'Tests' directory and run the test named in the zip.
(If you have ever used QTP you'll know what to do).

Ok. I don't find it as a free tool, do i have to use the 14 days trial instead ?

Laurent.

Hi,

It is not a free tool - but they do usually have free 14 day trials for it (you should be able to sweet talk them into extending it to a 30 day trail).
