Alfresco share

Hi!

I am using alfresco Enterprise Edition.
I need an image processing open source tool which can retrieve information from scanned document as well as provide basic image editing features.
Something like kofax capture.So what tool i should use that can seamlessly integrate with alfresco and provide these features.

Ephesoft is started by ex KOFAX employees and it is open source

I have also used tesseract for OCR purposes. My use case was limited, I only wanted to read a barcode and a few numbers though.
