Alfresco Share is not working

Hi,

I am totally new to alfresco and trying to explore more. I install Alfresco community 4.2e in my laptop and create some users. I just installa an addons Alvex, restart the Alfresco server. Now Alfresco Share is not working and genenrating HTTP 404 error

I follow the follwing steps to inmstall Alvex.
1. copy the repo and  share Alvex amp files to alfresco and amps folders respectively
2. run bin/alfresco_amps.bat
3. restart alfresco server.

This proble i shappening befiore I install Alvex too. If I restart Alfresco server or shut down my computer, it does not work and I reinstall again.

Please help me on this.

Hello!

First of all, what Alvex version and edition did you install? Are you sure you downloaded Alvex for Alfresco 4.2.e (not 4.2.c) version?
Did you save file tomcat/logs/catalina.out before you reinstalled Alfresco? If so, then can you attach it to this thread? I have no idea why you had this error, and I can not advise you anything before I will see your log file.

Thank you for your reply. Eventually I am able to install Alvex. I was messing up with 4.2.c vs 4.2.e version of Alvex.
