Cheers all,
I'm trying to open a Word doc by clicking on "Edit Online" and I receive this error:
The file 'EDITED_FILENAME.docx' could not be edited online because its path contains characters that are not permitted by SPP protocol.
Invalid characters include the following: ~ " # % & * : < > ? / \ { | }.
I also cannot open the file (or any other Word doc) even if I browse to the mapped network location \\192.168.0.203@7070\alfresco of X://192.168.0.203:7070/alfresco
That filename contains no special characters at all - just upper and lowercase text/
I have never encountered this before and the behaviour is the same in FF and Chrome.
Any ideas?
cheers,
Trevor

Hi, I have a similar problem. I installed the 4.2.f version to make the edit online work. I can see the option and it tries to open the MS office doc but gives the following message and the documents doesn't open:
"Some files can harm your computer. If the file information below looks suspicious, or you do not fully trust the source, do not open the file."
I tried on Internet Explorer and Google chrome browser and also changed security settings as suggested by some forums, but nothing works.
I am using MS office 2013.
Thanks.
