Alfresco restart schedule

Hi, I was wondering if anyone schedules a restart of Alfresco through the cron and/or logrotate?  If so, is it done nightly, weekly, or monthly?  Anyone using logrotate?  We are running into out of memory issues (Java heap) on a weekly basis, and we think it is related to the "contentStoreCleanerTrigger" quartz job.  Is there a solution to the out of memory issues related to the "contentStoreCleanerTrigger" quartz job?  Thank you.

We're running Alfresco 3.0b on a Xen VM and perform complete VM backups nightly by stopping the entire server and backing up the IMG files from the Xen Dom0 host.  Basically, it is server shutdown, backup and server restart. It is working well.

In our install, I've noticed that shutting down the server with a "/etc/init.d/alfresco.sh stop" command doesn't work.  I'm new at Alfresco and haven't had a chance to see whether there are any errors in log files that I can correct.  It is not a critical issue for us, yet.  Based on the manual editing required for the startup scripts, the shutdown portion probably needs some PID file location to handle server shutdown it cleanly.

Hi All -
We're evaluating Alfresco 3 and have run into this same issue - an alfresco.sh stop command leaves java processes running that prevent us from then restarting Alfresco until we kill -9 all of the java processes.  Has anyone got a good fix for this?

Thanks,
