I'm currently looking at Alfresco and would like to run a proof of concept using the community edition version within my business.
One of our existing document management systems has roughly 190GB of TIFF scanned documents and some other stuff that has been loaded in. We have access to all the metadata from the old system and so I'm hoping that I can extract out the TIFFs along with the metadata into separate "shadow" files and load them into Alfresco Community.
I've done some googling, and it appears there are options, but a lot of the hits are old.
Can someone confirm that the most current Alfresco community edition has a built in tool to suck in this data along with the metadata?
What sort of things should we be conscious of during the migration? Can it import within one run, how long with it take etc…
