Alfresco migration from windows server to Linux server

Hi Folks,

We are using alfresco in windows platform, and now we have got new request to setup the alfresco in linux platform but the issue is we dont want to loose any data from old alfresco server ,

WE would like to migrated the OLD server alfresco data to the new server.

Can anybody please help me for doing this?

Just follow the usual backup and restore procedures.

Two things you may need to worry about are any windows specific paths in your configuration and any OS specific settings in your database.

The main file to worry about is the alfresco-global.properties file. You're most likely going to need to edit several paramaters in that file such as MySQL connection parameters and then the paths to OpenOffice, ImageMagick, and swftools.

My suggestion would be to setup the Linux server first and get it running with default functionality, then drop your database in and alf_data and configure it that way.
