Alfresco-Labs-3Stable-Linux-x86-Install cannot find Java

I'm trying to install Alfresco on a Linux Ubuntu 8.04 virtual machine (Sun xVM VirtualBox) following step by step this http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Installing_Alfresco_Lab_3b_on_Ubuntu_8.04 wiki. The Java JDK seems to install correctly and the directories under /usr/lib are created correctly.

Alfresco-Labs-3Stable-Linux-x86-Install launches correctly but when I get to find the virtual machine I always get the "No Java (JDK) found" message. I've tried to select the directory in all possible ways:  /usr/lib/jvm, /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.07,/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.07/bin, /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.07/ etc.

I always, always get the "No Java (JDK) found". After not finding any help in this forum I decided to post this message asking for help. I'm absolutely stuck.

Thanks for your help.

Have you definitely installed the JDK and not just the JVM?

The wiki is wrong!

I did

sudo apt-get install sun-java6-sdk

JDK got installed and then Alfresco installed smoth!

Thank you!
