From the Outlook 2003 menu bar select Tools->Email Accounts.
Add a new e-mail account.
Click the radio button for IMAP
Fill in your settings.   The account is the account that you use to connect to alfresco.
There's something on the release not not to use "localhost" but to use the real IP address of your alfresco server.
Finish the wizard.

You should now see your server in your "all mail folders"

Select the folder and right click "Update Folder List".

Away you go…

Sorry I have Outlook 2003 and Thunderbird.    Maybe an Outlook Express user could help?

Did you refresh the folders ? (right click on root of the IMAP tree - Update folder list )

Did you check that the IMAP user has the rights to access the documents in the folders (Alf Explorer set user permissions)?

Did you set the folders / sites to IMAP favorites e.g. in Share - List of sites ?

Do you get any MS Outlook Error message incl. the Outlook Send / Recieve progress errors?

Hope that helps to trace the issues down.

Hi,

it seems the problem is solved. i read about that alfresco has some problems to handle ports <1024 (propably only in imap). So, i changed the port to 8143 and now i get the whole folder structure included the documents. the only problem is that a document in doc format, which is not explicit in Microsoft Word 2007 saved will not shown in imap view in outlook express. i will go ahead to find where the problem is.

greetings
