I spent a day testing Alfresco Desktop Sync, below are my findings. v means works as expected, x means some bug became apparent.
Create file (Japanese filename, English filename) Desktop to Share: v Share to Desktop: v
Modify file (txt, pptx) Desktop to Share: v Share to Desktop: not updated if this file had been created by self in the first place (from either Share or Desktop)
Rename file Desktop to Share: v Share to Desktop: x
Move file Desktop to Share: x if not manager Share to Desktop: v
Delete file Desktop to Share: v Share to Desktop: v
Create folder (Japanese filename, English filename) Desktop to Share: v Share to Desktop: v
Move folder Desktop to Share: x nothing happens Share to Desktop: x moved but containing folder remains
Delete folder Desktop to Share: x Content deleted but folder remains (even though permissions allow to delete it) Share to Desktop: x Content deleted but folder remains and re-appears on Share
Also: One can edit local file without remote write permission In situation "Connection to server unavailable", clicking on status icon has no effect, and clicking several times make several menus appear evntually.

HI , i have the same problem , i need to synchronize a specifc folder in my hard disk , i am obliged to use windows xp so i am unable to use CMISSYNC , also alfresco desktop sync has these bygs you just said please did you find a solution ? Helpppp
