We have installed alfresco community v 2.1.0 in linux machine.
I am not sure whether there is a database for this version.
Whats my problem now is, files uploaded last week is missing. How can i get those file. Please help its very important and i am breaking my head(i am PHP developer) i dont know about JSP and all.
How you are storing the file (Where can i get the uploaded file form the file server) is it a physical storage or it will be encryped format.
I want to see the file in file server itself.
Please need assistance
advance thanks - Narendran.S

in your custom-repository.properties and restart the server. Remember to set it back to AUTO after the server has restarted!
———————————————————-
My doubt
———-
set back to Auto means
index.recovery.mode=AUTO
i have to change the back to like the above right.

But the application is not starting. it is loading (loading……..)
What to do now. Any idea.
Steps:-
1. stop the tomcat (in alfresco/alf_stop)
2. update the custom-repository.properties with ur code
3. start the tomcat (in alfresco/alf_start)
Thanks,

Our system was very slow.
i did the same process again.
This time in tomcat DOS window a message came 'Index recovery completed' like that.
Now i have changed the file with 'AUTO' and trying to access the alfresco.
Will let you know the result.
Thanks,

Are you sure the upload process worked? How were these files uploaded?
If there's nothing in the log files and a reindex didn't help, there's not much more I can suggest.
Thanks,
Mike

Mike When there is a folder in alf_data, it means a file has been uploaded right eg. ( alf_dat/contentStore/2009/8/2/18/40/xyz.bin ).
I have many folders like the above.
2009 means year
8 means month
2 means day
18 means hour
40 menas second
Files uploaded in august are missing, files uploaded before august month are there.
is there any thing to deal with HSQL ( we are using alfresco 2.1.0 + HSQL ( Default installation ) )
is the above information usefull for finding the loop hole.
Please spare me.. Narendran.S

I would recommend you stop using the HSQL database and migrate to MySQL as soon as practical however - HSQL just doesn't scale and could be the cause of your problems.
Thanks,
Mike
