Hi All,

I am currently implementing Alfresco community edition in my organization, whereby community edition packaged with MySQL and Tomcat which currently running on MS Windows Server 2003. In this server I have installed other open source apps such as SugarCRM (MySQL + Apache),  OrangeHRM (MySQL + Apache) whereby I been using different port for MySQL and Apache for each individual app. My question here,

1. Can Alfresco use different database such Oracle 10g or Oracle 11g?

2. Can Alfresco run on Oracle Enterprise Linux OS?

3. Can Alfresco integrate with various of open source apps such Compiere, SugarCRM, OrangeHRM, OpenClinca, Pentaho and etc. If yes, what's the option and best solution available for me to do that.

Your reply is highly appreciated.

Thank you

Best regards
Hafizz

Hi Hafizz,

I'm also looking for the compatibility of the Community Edition with Oracle 10g. For the moment I haven't any Oracle Database for testing, but keeping in mind that Alfresco uses the Hibernate ORM I would bet that it's going to work.

For the third question I can recommended you the great presentation "Sistema de Gestión de Expedientes"of Roger Carhuatocto, he gives the clues on how to use Alfresco + BPMS (BonitaSoft and Intalio), you can find it on the alfresco collaboration site http://share.alfresco.com.

Sorry for not being more specific about but for the moment it's all I can do.

Best Regards,

Luis

1. Can Alfresco use different database such Oracle 10g or Oracle 11g?   Since 3.1 The community version only supports Open Source databases.  The Enterprise version does support non O/S databases like Oracle.

2. Can Alfresco run on Oracle Enterprise Linux OS?   Should do, the version of Java is more important than the OS.

3. Can Alfresco integrate with various of open source apps such Compiere, SugarCRM, OrangeHRM, OpenClinca, Pentaho and etc. If yes, what's the option and best solution available for me to do that.
Depends upon the details of what you want to do.    Integration could be as simple as adding a few URLs to a document in SugarCRM.
