Hello guys,

I dont know much about servers, but I am very interested on setting up alfresco community edition. I have 3 PCs connected connected to a linksys wrt54g router. I did a fresh windows 7 install on one of them and installed the alfresco community edidion 3.3g on it set an static ip 192.168.1.120. I got the server running, added some accounts, but I cant seem to access alfresco share from any of the other computers using http://192.168.1.120:8080/share/ , what am i missing?

When you say that you got the server running and added some accounts - is that in Alfresco or Windows?

Is it only Share that you can't get to?

Logged in as admin and added a few account on alfresco.

Ok, I'm assuming that you can run share locally too?

What actual error message are you getting in the remote machines?
Does the "normal" alfresco url work from these other machines? (if not check out your firewall settings on the server)

I can access the server locally, just not remotely. I've even tried with the firewall disabled on the server.

Sorry still not clear, can you run share locally or not?
What error messages are you getting back on the remote machines?

Yes, I can access Share and Explorer locally, just not remotely.

Error on remote machine is a simple "Unable to connect" from the browser.

You'll have to take the firewall down on the machine running share, or at least open port 8080.

Thank you for the help guys, I really apreciate it.

One Other thing, What would be the simplest way to access the Shares from the web?
