Why have all this problems installing Alfresco, if we can use Alfresco Bitnami Stack? What are the benefits and problems of install Alfresco "standalone" in oppose to Alfresco Bitnami stack?
It depends purely on your experience and technical knowledge of installing Java applications. A lot of people have problems grasping the basics; a lot of people sail through the process in a matter of minutes.
The Bitnami stack is great for getting set-up, as is our Amazon EC2 image, as is "sudo apt get install alfresco-community" on Ubuntu 9.04… as are a host of other options - use whatever's easiest for you.
