Alfresco being difficult-fresh install on ubuntu 7.10

Hi there, I have installed the latest version on Ubuntu 7.10. I followed this guide:

to the 'T'!

I run the startup script, then I visit:
http://crunk.com:8080/alfresco and I get this:

HTTP Status 404 - /alfresco/index.jsp

type Status report

message /alfresco/index.jsp

description The requested resource (/alfresco/index.jsp) is not available.
Apache Tomcat/5.5.23‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍

H-m-m… Startup looks normal, except that apparently there were some typos (or version mismatch?) in iptables commands.  Is there anything useful in alfresco.log?

OK, it looks like you used the latest recommendations with my edits; but if you really have these "-e" 's in the log, you have some typos in your /etc/init.d/alfresco control script. The errors you are getting from iptables point to the same conclusion.  So why won't you verify that the script is exactly like on wiki?

blech, gave up on poooobuntu. It`s brown for a reason. Got it up and running on FC7 in 15 minutes. Thanks to everyone who replied
