Everyone:

We are pleased to announce the availability of Alfresco Community 2.9 Labs.

This Community Labs release is the first of a set of releases that will showcase upcoming Alfresco 3.0 product enhancements.  This Labs release also includes critical bugs fixes rolled up from our 2.1 Enterprise release offering, including important performance improvements and lock permissions fixes on our 2.1 Community WCM package.

Our Community 2.9 Labs release provides access to the following new capabilities for test and evaluation:

*  Facebook integration AMP
*  ECM Form integration
*  ECM Multi-Tenancy
*  IM / Presence integration
*  Email-addressable spaces, documents, and forum topics

A second Community 2.9 Labs release will follow in a couple of weeks.  This updated release will include a number of team collaboration enhancements along with iGoogle integration components.  Stay tuned!

Happy testing.

Does the 2.9 Labs includes the upcoming changes on the WCM related to the user permissions and the other changes 2.2 will bring?

I noticed that, in the NYC Product Roadmap, there is a Flex SDK with this release. How do I get to it? From a Higher Ed, we need a better UI/UX for the web interface to meet the accessibility requirements.

Thanks Smiley Very Happy

Found some information:
> Internally, we've successfully plugged Web Scripts behind a Flex app.

> In SVN HEAD you can see Flex components at:

> /modules/ace/src/util/webscript &
> /modules/ace/src/util/authentication

So, I assume that is not yet packaged in the 2.9Labs..

Hi

Does this version fix the v2.1 issue of all email notifications being reflected as from [email protected]?

Thanks

What about Lucene index sharing between cluster nodes? Is there any progress on this topic in 2.9 Labs?

I've noticed reading the Wiki (http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Indexer_Changes) that you were evaluating SOLR as a solution to various indexing issues. Is this possibility still being investigated?

OK, what is exactly ECM Form Integration and how can we test it?

Will Alfresco 2.9/3.0 support Glassfish v2/v3? I'm trying to deploy Alfresco on this application server but, although I've solved many incompabilities due to Alfresco JSF implementation (Apache's MyFaces), many errors occur.

Maybe the right question should be: is Alfresco 2.9 still MyFaces dependent?

Thank you and good job!

Please, don't release it without writing a proper documentation. There hasn't been a proper admin documentation since 1.4, the wiki is incomplete, and most of the configuration is just completely undocumented, making it totally unusable.

Or please write a tool to ease the configuration. Right now it's just a nightmare.
