Hello,

Is it possible to add rules to a content ? for example send an email when a file is updated ? I know, we can do it on a space but I don't find it for a content.

Is it possible to create simple validation workflow ? I want that all files, added in a content, must be validated. But I want they stay in this content, not move in other one. Or if I want to move them, I want to choose where these files must go when I decide to validated it.

No it is not possible to add rules to content using the web-client at this time. Also the validation of workflow that you require is not yet possible - we are looking at integrating JBPM to provide more advanced workflow capabilities.

There may be some more creative things that you can do when 1.3 comes out.  We'll have mandatory properties that are not enforced before content is added to ALfresco, but the content will be marked as "incomplete" until all the properties have been completed.  This will be done as an aspect, so you will be able to write rules that work just on incomplete items (e.g. route them on a validation flow).  Also, we hope to get a Javascript engine embedded for 1.3, which could allow more flexible processing in rules.
