Adding aspects to WCM content

Is there a way to add Effectivity and other aspects to WCM content? I need to add effective and expiry dates to it. Also I was wondering if you can extend the default content model for WCM content to introduce additional metadata? I was not able to do this as I am able to do with content created within Smart Spaces.

Any help is appreciated.

By the same argument, can I tag a WCM content to categories that I already established in Alfresco. Seems like the capabilities offered in Smart Spaces are not extended to WCM. Is there a reason why?

Apparently this is in the works for release for beyond 2.1.0. In the meanwhile you could include the metadata you desire in your XSD. Read this link to get a better idea…
