Can you explain how we should add the new .bpmn files to Alfresco as custom workflows? Should we simply rename them to .bmpn20.xml ?

Hi,

Yes one option would be to do a rename to .bpmn20.xml.
Another option is to use the "Create deployment artifacts" option, that creates a BAR file and does the rename to .bpmn20.xml for you.
