Activate auto versioning on Share

Hello,

I am trying to activate auto versioning on Share document space. I have added Versionable aspect in Share web, I have added a rule on the space to make all content versionable, I have modified contentModel.xml to make a default aspect the versionable aspect. I can version the file when I am uploading from Web Interface but if I am updating a new file by CIFS the versioning is not applied.

Is there a bug ? Need I some other config ?

Seems like If I have uploaded the file by Web Interface, I can't versioning by  CIFS but If I have uploaded by CIFS I can versioning document but I have an increment of two minor versions…. I don't know why…

Sounds like a bug, when CIFS and Webuploaded docs are treated differently. But make sure, you have configured "the rest" identically (aspects, required fields, etc).

Os if this is the case, open a report on issues.alfresco.com - maybe even include an export of the space in question  with two sample files ?
