Accessing files after uninstall of Alfresco

Not sure if this it the right place for this but …

Should we ever decide to uninstall Alfresco how can we access the most current version of a file / document once Alfresco has been uninstalled?

In other words, is there a process to restore all the files from Alfresco before it is uninstalled, or do we need to check out all the documents to a shared drive and THEN uninstall?

Although you can access the files outside of Alfresco by going directly to the alf_data folder, you'll be creating all sorts of unnecessary work.

The easiest way to export all content is to use FTP, CIFS or WebDAV before uninstalling.
