Hi,


I am not able to create new web project in alfresco.
I am getting the following error while creating new  web project in alfresco.

"   A system error happened during the operation: 09010010 AVMStore exists: localhost   "

Please help me….

Pardon, can you provide additional info in your post? Is it a fresh install, and what is the version?

And have you already created a store called "localhost"?

Hi,

I am very new to alfresco, could you please explain me about "Store" ?
I have given in    DNS name: localhost, other then this i didnt specified localhost any where.

From the clue you have given i could solve my problem…..

For my second project also i gave the same DNS name as "localhost".

Now i came to know that i shud not give same DNS name for two different webprojects…..

But i am very interested to know what is this DNS name for the webproject and how is it linked with the avm stores…….

That field specifies the "unique" name for your web project, the thing that never changes and has to conform to a strict set of rules.  Which may eventually be mapped through your DNS to your live website, hence the field name.   It does not relate to which host is running your authoring environment.     I agree that the name of the field may be weak.      

While you could have one project with the name "localhost" you can't have two.     And now you know what that field is for "localhost" is perhaps the worst possible name for a web project

Now i got clearly about DNS name for the project and that why it shud be unique for the project and DNS name relation with the "preview website" option…..

fine….
but coming to the "preview website" option….
it is not for working for me….
I feel i might have missed some configuration….
i created web project ,web forms,creating content for web forms,everything….
then i clicked "preview website" option….then the new page is getting loaded with the following URL…(u know my worst possible DNS name for my webproject "localhost" )
http://localhost.www--sandbox.127-0-0-1.ip.alfrescodemo.net:8180/
and CONNECTION REFUSED message in the page…..
i think u have got the problem….
u wud b very helpful for me if u guide me in this regard ……
and help me how  can i make "preview website" option working…..

Have you started the virtualisation server?

yes mrogers……i have already started my virtualization server…..

but i am getting the same error message…..

other than starting virtualization server anything to be done….?
2 general questions:

Is virtualization server ment only for "preview website" option….??

i have created web.xml file with welcome file as "main.jsp".I have also imported "web.xml" file and "main.jsp" file in to my webproject space….. If suppose "preview website" option works fine, directly main.jsp will be displayed…???
