A rule to alert users when the content of a space changes

Hi,

I would like to create a rule on a space that alerts users via email when the contents of a space are changed - i.e content items are added, updated, deleted?

Is this easily achieved using the out of the box web client?

Have you tried using content rules?  You can have a condition of all items, and as an action, send email.
