A few general questions

Hi,

I have been doing some research on alfresco and I have read a few things that concern me. I was hoping someone might address these points?

1. CMS Matrix states that Alfresco cannot have individual SSL pages, so if I had a site with an ecommerce page, the whole site would have to be SSL. Is this accurate?

2. Also stated at the same site is that there is no support for native chat, blogging, surveys, RSS feeds, or polls. True?

Trying to determine the suitability of Alfresco for a partial ecommerce, partial social networking, partial published content site.

Thank you for your time!

No it is not entirely accurate.

You should be able to mix non secure and secure access to the alfresco web clients.   And if its **your** ecommerce page then you can do whatever you like with it.

RSS feeds

Blogs and Chats

Other's may chime in with other features for example polls could be fairly trivial to configure.

Thank you. I assumed it was inaccurate. Seems like a very robust product. I appreciate your response.
