Hi,

(I'm going to post several different threads on the forums for RM ).

I have been searching for some of this information without luck and thinking about a few other items. I was hoping someone could shed some insight… ( Alf Community 3.2r2 with the matching RM setup.exe windows os )

Q) Where does DoD 5015.2 standard specify that dispositions can only be placed on a Category level? And where can I read up on the testing plan Alf has used?

TIA!

Hi Scott

The DoD Standard does not mandate that dispositions can only be placed on a category level. However the certification tests only test for this particular implementation.

The underlying model in Alfresco records mangement has the disposal schedule as a separate object which could notionally be attached at different levels of the fileplan. However doing this causes a lot more work for the system behind the scenes, and would have required more time to implement than we had. This can also be confusing to first time administrators. So in line with our design goal to keep things simple we left the dispostion schedules to work at Category level only.

You can get the JITC test plan from here: jitc.fhu.disa.mil/recmgt/pap2.doc
