4.2.a will not let u mount CIFS or FTP locally, is this a bu

may be some body has faced this issue, I thought of posting it here so that I get feedback from users who had done the setting
I am using CentOS 6.3 and Alfresco community 4.2.a
My Aim was to

(a) Enable CIFS and FTP for Alfresco 4.2.a
(b) Mount CIFS dir and FTP dir to the server locally

In this I was able to (a)  configure CIFS and FTP successully, I am able to access CIFS shares and FTP directory from other clients, this means that CIFS and FTP in Alfresco  is working fine.

Now I try to mount it locally, it is not possible.
Just sharing my experience and to check out whether any one had tried out this.
Does this behaviour due to bug

locally means to mount Alfresco CIFS or FTP to the Alfresco Server Machine
