4.0 Theme Issue [Solved]

Greetings in the new year.

Doing some initial work with 4.0.
I find I had in issue with creating a new theme.
 
it's defined here but somethings missing.

  question 1. Why did I open the following files nothing changed.
   base.css
   ie6.css
   ie7.css
   presentation.css

  lots of change in skin.css.

  When I rebooted I expected to find my new theme in the drop down, but it's not there.
  So what creates the new item in the dropdown in 4.0 ?

Did some searching and found the following needed to be done also.

  create a xml file in classes/alfresco/site-data/themes
  add a line to slingshot.properties
    theme.xxxTheme=Green Theme

  this should be added to the help file - just my opinion
