Is there a way to use a DR Pair to share a dip license between two servers (i.e. Production and Disaster Recovery)?

Right now we move licenses from server to server in any type of DR test event.  To reduce RTO, we would like to move away from that.  We would like the license to be used on either server at any time but not at the same time by just enabling the active server within Schedule Management.  This would be an alternative to obtaining two licenses for a server in each environment.

Your reseller should be able to help you with this. We have done this for our customers in the past, to enable a HOT-WARM setup. You will request a backup DIP license with a zero dollar P.O. There may be an amendment to the EULA also. This will allow you to do all the configuration for the backup server (workstation registration, DIP schedules, etc.). You will simply need to start the DIP service on the DR machine when the primary goes down.

As long as only one DIP service is processing you will be OK.
