Skip Versions and manually create them

Hello,

we have a special requirement where we have a local versioning system, and then upload the files to nuxeo. We want to extract the version from the uploaded file, and create a new version with the same number in nuxeo, but I couldn't find a way to define version numbers, only increments are possible ? Also it seems it is not possible to skip version numbers ?

Hello,

That's correct. You can define a specific versioning policy for your doctype (https://doc.nuxeo.com/nxdoc/versioning/#versioning-policies), but you cannot skip versions.
