Import documents directly into sections ?

Hello, I am transferring whole document trees from 5.6 to 5.8 on another server. I can export folders using zip xml trees from the section in 5.6 but I get errors when trying to reimport it in sections in 5.8. It works if I export from a workspace and import into a workspace. Why ? Do i need to republish everything ?

Without more information about the error you get it's hard to say.
