How do I create new Document Type without the Studio and using Nuxeo IDE

Hey, I know there should be a way to create a new document type without using the Studio. Please let us know how to create a new document type using the Nuxeo IDE to create a new document type.

The nuxeo-sample-project includes an example of this. (Actually, you don't even need Nuxeo IDE to create it; you only need Maven.)
