I have created workflow (definition& new document type) in studio. After update, I do not see the new workflow in the JSF Admin under workflow. I even used the 'Release' and apply for update. But still do not see the new workflow deployed on activated with associated document type.

Hello,
This shouldn't happen. Have you checked the content of the Studio package or query for the workflow template document type?
Maybe remove the Studio template, and reinstall it.
